How to report copyright infringement on any Maine Winters service, and who to send it to.

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This page applies to every product and service operated by Maine Winters LLC. It exists so that a copyright owner can find our designated agent, and so that our users know what happens when a notice arrives.

Designated agent for copyright notices

Maine Winters LLC has registered a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2). Send notices of claimed infringement to:

This agent receives copyright notices for all of our services, including QuickClips, QuickPics, Humble, QuickAssist, QuickGen, SponsorKit, ClipHook and our Chrome extensions. The designation is searchable in the Copyright Office's public DMCA Designated Agent Directory.

Sending a notice of claimed infringement

To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include all of the following:

We remove or disable access to infringing material when we receive a valid notice.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must contain your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake, your name, address and telephone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, the District of Maine).

Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Misrepresentations

Be careful what you swear to. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, is liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
