All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your credit card number, CVV, or billing address.
Each extension has its own data scope. Here is what each one accesses:
Accesses your approximate location (city-level) via a public weather API to show local weather on your new tab page. No location data is stored or transmitted to Maine Winters LLC servers. No account required.
Reads the CSS of webpages you visit to display inspection results. All processing occurs locally in your browser. No page content or CSS data is transmitted to any server. No account required.
Captures screenshots of pages when you explicitly trigger a capture. Screenshots are stored locally in your browser's storage. No screenshots are uploaded or transmitted without your explicit action. No account required.
Reads and modifies page CSS to apply dark mode styling. All processing is local. No browsing data is collected or transmitted. Per-site preferences are stored locally in your browser. No account required.
When you select text and choose a rewrite tone, the selected text is sent to the AI provider you configure (OpenAI or Anthropic) using your own API key. Maine Winters LLC does not receive, store, or log any text you rewrite. Your API key is stored locally in your browser's extension storage and is never sent to Maine Winters LLC servers.
When you trigger a summary, the text content of the active webpage is sent to the AI provider you configure (OpenAI or Anthropic) using your own API key. Maine Winters LLC does not receive, store, or log any page content you summarize. Summaries are displayed in the side panel and not stored persistently.
Accesses your open browser tabs to display, search, and organize them. Tab data (titles and URLs) is stored locally in your browser's extension storage for session management. No tab data is transmitted to any server. No account required.
When you enable tracking on a Gmail message, a tracking pixel hosted on our server (mailping.mainewinters.com) is embedded in the email. When the recipient opens the email and images load, our server logs the open event (timestamp, approximate location, device type) and sends you a browser notification. We store open event data only for emails you choose to track and only accessible to you. We do not track emails sent to you.
Reads product page content on supported shopping sites (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, eBay) to extract and monitor prices. Price data for products you track is stored locally in your browser. Price checks are performed by your browser directly against the retailer's website — not proxied through our servers. No shopping behavior data is collected or sold. No account required.
Reads LinkedIn profile and search result pages that you are actively viewing in your browser. Profile data is converted to CSV entirely within your browser. No data is transmitted to any server. No LinkedIn credentials or session tokens are accessed or stored. No account with Maine Winters LLC is required.
When you click the ClipHook extension on a YouTube page, the video's transcript is sent to our ClipHook API server to generate hook suggestions using the Anthropic API. We do not store the transcript or the generated hooks after the response is delivered. We log only request metadata (timestamp, YouTube video ID) for rate limiting purposes, retained for 7 days.
